The Fantasia Industry Rendez-Vous

Montreal's Fantasia International Film Festival, widely acclaimed as one of the largest and most influential genre film festivals in the world, debuted in 2012 a major new industry-driven event: The Fantasia Industry Rendez-Vous.

A film projects development venture was created along with the Rendez-Vous: The Frontières International Co-Production Market. Frontières is the first and only international co-production market to connect North America with Europe, in an environment focused specifically on genre film.
For each of its editions, Frontières has presented 24 film projects, divided in-between Frontières and Off-Frontières projects line-ups, hailing from Canada, the USA, Mexico and various European countries.

In addition to the co-production market, the Industry Rendez-Vous have been hosting a Film Market, to support the sales efforts for the features that are part of Fantasia International Film Festival's programming.
Sales agents and producers are provided with a privileged opportunity to meet with prospective buyers. An on-site and online (via Cinando) video screening room is offered for their convenience, as well as an available rights list.

The first edition Rendez-Vous was a resounding success, with 220 international film professionals attending, reaching the event's capacity limits. For the 2013 edition, new facilities were secured in the Concordia EV Building, one of the most modern buildings of the Concordia University campus, to allow for more meeting space and expanded accreditations, which reached 280 participants.
Subscriptions have now risen to nearly 350 participants for the 2014 edition. Expanded facilities have been secured in the Concordia EV and DS Buildings to allow for more meeting and conference space.

THE THIRD EDITION OF THE FANTASIA INDUSTRY RENDEZ-VOUS
The Fantasia Industry Rendez-Vous will make its return at Fantasia from July 24 to 27, 2014. Once again, these four days will be packed with the Frontières pitch session, a series of conferences on the topics of packaging, financing, production and post-production of independent genre films, various meeting sessions and networking cocktails, coupled with the regular Fantasia schedule of public screenings and parties. Two new activities have been added to the event: the Meet the Post-Production Companies networking event and a Works-in-Progress presentations session. More details on the event here.

The Frontières International Co-Production Market once again presents 24 film projects.

Accreditations to the Industry Rendez-Vous are now closed. You can contact accreditations@fantasiafestival.com if you have any question.
